On your device

Charlie stores your imported game files, library details, settings and game saves on your device. Controller input is processed locally and passed to the game you open. Charlie does not send your library, game progress or controller activity to Dreolo.

The current app has no accounts, advertising, tracking or analytics SDKs. It does not request access to your contacts, location, microphone or camera. When you import a file, you choose it through the system file picker.

Downloads and links

When you enter a game URL or download an optional demo, Charlie contacts the hosting servers to obtain the game and its assets. Those servers receive ordinary request information, such as your IP address and the requested URL, and may keep technical logs under their own privacy policies. A game page may reference files hosted on more than one server.

Imported games run locally with network access blocked during play. Links to the developer guide, support, privacy policy and other Dreolo apps open in your browser. Websites and hosting providers may process technical request information separately from the Charlie app.

Keeping and removing data

Your imported games and saves remain until you remove them or remove the app. Removing a game from the library also removes its saved progress. Charlie does not provide a cloud account or cloud save service. Device backups and transfers, where supported by your operating system and settings, may retain copies separately; manage those copies through your device or backup provider.

Support and privacy requests

If you email mail@dreolo.com, Dreolo receives your email address and the information you choose to include. We use that information to respond and resolve your request, with email service providers handling delivery. We retain support correspondence as needed for the request and any applicable recordkeeping obligations. You can use the same address to ask about access to or deletion of your support correspondence.

You do not need to send us your game files or saved progress to use Charlie. Please avoid including passwords or other private information in support messages.

Children and changes

Charlie is not specifically directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through the app. If a child has sent personal information to our support address, contact us so we can address it.

If Charlie’s data practices change, we will update this policy and its effective date. For help with importing games or controllers, see Charlie support.
